We have now arrived at part 4 of Installation Kit Guide mini-series! In the previous articles we have covered the mortar, primer and adhesive. Now we turn our attention to the brick slip tile sealer!
Our brick slip tile sealer is the market leader in external and internal brick slip sealing applications. It is a surface treatment for exterior and interior brick slips, to prevent liquid ingress, whilst remaining vapour permeable. Only one coat is required, if a second coat is desired it must be done whilst the product is still wet. The brick slip tile sealer reduces surface degradation as atmospheric contaminants do not stick. Furthermore, it also resists moss and lichen formation as well as preventing surface deterioration due to repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Using our brick slip tile sealer will not alter the aesthetics of the treated surface or change its colour. The sealer is UV resistant, non-flammable, non-toxic as well as being environmentally friendly!
Once your slips have been installed give them time to dry. Following this, take your brush and clean the surface of any dust or debris. You can apply the sealer via a brush, mist spray bottle or a roller. The most effective method would be to use the spray bottle but any of the three would be sufficient. Using a bottle, you simply pour the brick slip tile sealer from the container it has been delivered into the spray bottle. After this, you spray over your brick slips making sure to spray an even amount across the slips. One layer should be enough, however you can do a second should you choose to. You also don’t HAVE to seal your brick slips however it is advised in areas that will experience high traffic such as a kitchen or bathroom/shower.
