Brick Tiles is a name given to a collection of products that offer a genuine brick design, texture and finish. Once installed, Brick Tiles are then pointed providing a genuine brick finish on an existing surface. Brick Tiles are also know as Brick Slips, Brick Veneer, Brick Cladding And, Brick Panels.
Our Brick Tiles are cut from real brick. By taking one of our Clay Bricks, a slither is cut from the facing of the brick to create a thin version from 14mm – 20mm thick that an then be applied to a surface much like a regular tile.
Slips From Stock offer an exclusive collection of Brick Tiles. Our parent company (TBS Cladding Solutions) is the sole importer of our bricks, this allows us to manufacturer them in to tiles in house. You may see our Brick Tiles advertised else where (sometimes under a different name) however, we offer the best prices on this range of Brick Tiles.
Brick Tiles are incredibly versatile and can be used throughout the home. Due to our Brick Tiles being cut from real clay brick they are Fire Rated A1 which means they can be used with the likes of Log Burners, Stoves and high heat areas. In addition to those more special areas, they can also be used on a variety of areas such as Bathrooms and kitchens providing our Brick Slip Sealer is used to protect the product service and add a waterproof protection to the Brick Tiles.
This list is not exhaustive and if you have a special project for which you are considering brick tiles, we would strongly welcome you to reach out to our team via either Live Chat, Phone or Email and we will do our very best to assist you in your hunt for the perfect Brick Tiles.
Step 1 – As with anything you do within your home the most important part is the preparation. Preparation is key for ensuring a consistent and perfect finish for your Brick Tiles.
Before starting, ensure that all surrounding surfaces such as floors, furniture etc are protected. The materials used to install brick tiles are abrasive and can cause unnecessary damage. By protecting all elements within the area this will minimise your risk.
When it comes to preparing the surface, most the time, our brick tiles are being installed on an area that has been plastered or painted. When you fix the brick tiles to the wall, you will be fixing them using our Slip-Fix Adhesive. Bear in mind this adhesive will fix to the immediate surface so if your wall is painted it is going to fix to the paint and not the actual wall itself. Therefore we recommend you score (using a sharp object scratch the wall to create a bed for the adhesive) the wall before priming it using our Pro Primer. this primer creates a sealed surface whilst also offering a better bonding between the wall, Adhesive and Brick Tiles.
Once primed, allow the wall to dry fully before giving the wall a final brush to ensure there is no loose debris on the wall.
Step 2 – Tools. When installing brick tiles that are a number of tools and materials you will need. Slips From Stock make it super easy by offering a 7 piece Brick Tile installation Kit.
In addition to this kit, we advise ordering the below (from our website)
Once you have all these it is time to get “set out” There are plenty of different options and patterns when it comes to installing brick tiles but for this guide we are going with the standard brick bond which is a 50% offset.
To achieve this we advise measuring the surface the brick tiles are being installed on. Find the centre of that wall and draw a horizontal line from bottom to top.
Now from that line (either side of it) draw another vertical line 105mm away from the first line. Now you should have tow lines with a 105mm Gap between them. These are the two lines you will be installing your Brick Tiles from. This will give you a consistent finish with consistent cuts at the end of the wall.
Now at the bottom, if you have a skirting board check it is perfectly level, if so you can start from that. If not you will need a horizontal line to start from that is level.
Step 3 – Tilling the wall! Now you’re all set out, you have your tools, your wall is prepared and you’re set out, it’s time to begin. Using our Slip Fix Adhesive mix it inline with instructions on the back of the packet. Remember to only mix a small amount at a time as it sets quiet quickly, you don’t want to mix to much at once and risk wasting it.
Once mixed, using your tile trowel its now time to apply the brick tile adhesive to the walls starting from the centre line going either left or right for your first row, also we recommend back buttering the brick tiles this means spreading a thin layer of adhesive to the back of the brick tile, this will ensure a better bond to the wall. you then need to place your first brick tile on either the right or left side of the middle line. Carry on along that row until you reach your final full size brick tile. When you get top this point, then start tiling from the there side of the line until you have one complete row, remembering to place your spacers in between each brick tile to ensure you have a consistent 10mm gap between each brick tile.
Now you have this row almost complete it is likely there will be a small gap at either end of this row. At this point you would take your brick tile and measure the gap, cut the brick tile to size and complete the said row.
After your first row, you will then begin your second row going of the other horizontal line this will off-set the brick tiles giving you at the brick bond pattern. You will need to continue this process of moving from one line to the next until you have completed the wall.
Step 4 – Cleaning, Pointing and Protecting. Now that your wall is full dry and looking amazing with our Brick Tiles, it is time to prepare to give them that perfect finish. The first step is to remove all of the spacers from the brick tiles. To do this simply pull them out (ensuring that the wall is dry before doing so) once you have removed all the spacers, use the wire brush from your installation kit and brush the brick tiles to remove any excess adhesive that may have ended up on the surface when installing them.
Once done it is time to prepare the mortar. again, like the adhesive follow the manual on the back of the packet for mixing instructions ensuring you only mix a little at a time. Once mixed we recommend using the pointing gun also provided in the installation kit and filling that with the pointing mortar. You will then squirt this in to the gaps of the brick tiles and use the pointing trowel every now and then to pack and smooth those joints.
This is a lengthy process but worth the time and effort to really give your brick tiles that perfect finish. Once that has been completed wait around 2-3 hours and then using a brush, diagonally brush the brick tiles to remove any excess pointing mortar and lastly spray the mortar with a light spray of water and use the pointing trowel once again to smooth those joints out.
Allow 24 hours for this to fully dry. Once dry you will then need to give the brick tiles another brush to ensure all loose debris is remove, then hoover the face of the brick tiles ensuring they are clean. Once this is done we are going to apply the brick slip sealer (if you have opted for this) remember that once applied it can not be removed and any residue on the surface of the brick slips is also going to be sealed and can not be removed so make sure your happy with the installation and the appearance of the brick tiles before sealing.
Again follow the instructions on the back of the bottle and use a mini foam roller to apply the brick slip sealer to the brick tiles to give them that perfect finish and protection.

For us and our websites and products, nothing they are just two different terms people use to find the same product. Having said that, you can find some “brick tiles” on the internet that are made from ceramic and porcelain. This is not something we offer as these do not offer an authentic brick finish. Our Brick Tiles are cut from real brick so you’re getting a real brick finish. Ceramic Brick Tiles and Porcelain are simply a bathroom tile but with a brick design printed on it, this means you don’t get the texture, the thickness or the variation that our Brick Slips Offer.
Now, whilst we don’t offer Cheap Brick Tiles (in terms of quality) we do offer Cheap Brick Tiles (in terms of price) All of our brick tiles are the cheapest on the internet for that exact brick style in addition, we offer a clearance section with brick tiles from just £12.99 per box.
