One customer found renovating and decorating their home to be quite a tricky task. So he fired us an email stating ‘I need inspiration for my brick wall’. And of course, the team at Slips from Stock were more than happy to help!
The customer sent in images how his current wall looked. He explained that he felt it was time for change but was ‘struggling for ideas for my brick wall’. Of course my advice for his brick wall was always going to be brickslips! After taking into consideration the laminate flooring and pre-existing white paint, it was decided that buff brick slips would work best. From my previous experience of helping customers decorate their brick wall, I knew Mystique and London Weathered Yellow were always popular. But this customer decided to push the boat out a bit and go for the Restoration Yellow. After receiving his free samples he quickly approved of them, placed his order and began installing. Considering this was the customers first time installing brickslips (with the the help of installation guide) he did an amazing job!
I thought it may be useful to include a few words of my advice in for installing a brick wall. The first step would be to take in your surroundings. My advice here is, consider what will be surrounding your brick wall and the different colours they are. For example, with a brick slip kitchen splashback, you’ll want to consider what colour your kitchen unit is so you know which brickslips to go for. In my humble opinion, another thing to consider for your brick wall is that certain brickslips will change colour if you leave them too long before installing. This is because of the moisture leaving the brick as the air dries it. My tip to avoid this, is install your brick wall ASAP and then seal your brickslips to keep the luscious colour locked in.
