Two common names used in the industry regularly, but do we know the difference between the two?
The short answer is very simple!
They are the same! So whether you referred to them as London Weathered Yellow brick slips or brick tiles, you’d be right.
Brick Slips and Brick Tiles are the exact same product, however due to their rising popularity they have developed the two names?
Why ?
Brick Slips are the correct terminology for the product, as they are cut from bricks, and they have a standard code used throughout the industry which is SL1.1, the second name brick Tiles has come from the installation process, as a large majority of the brick slips are used internally, predominantly this falls under a tilers remit and not a bricklayers remit, as the process is identical to tiling, so it is common place for professionals in the tiling industry to call these Brick Tiles in stead of brick slips!
So there you have it, the difference or lack of difference between Brick Slips and Brick Tiles.
